April showers bring May Chaos!

Hello again!

Just wanted to do a quick update while Makenna is napping and Avery is otherwise occupied. The last week has been HELL, yes there is absolutely no other word to describe the experience of dealing with a toddler who has had his tonsils removed. But without asking for too much pity I will gladly say we have made it through, he is feeling better, and as long as everything goes well at his 3 week post op appointment we are looking forward to seeing how all of this will change things around here for the better! With that being said here are a few updates on what we have accomplished so far with our moving plans:

-- We have mapped out our trip to Delaware, booked our hotels, and planned our stops along the way. The Air Force is giving us 8 days to get there and we are gladly taking all 8 for sanity's sake. Even with taking 8 days to get there we still have a few long days of driving (8 or 9 hours...with two kids that is LONG). But we are looking forward to seeing Mt. Rushmore, Nauvoo Illinois (a church historical town), Chicago, Indianapolis (where my Grandfather and Uncle's race care is in a museum), and Hershey Park in PA!! I know once we arrive we will so glad to be done with driving but I figure we better take advantage of what we can see!!

--We have scheduled the movers (YIKES) and we are out of this house as of June 18th. It is coming up SO FAST.  

--We drive out of Fairchild and say goodbye to our friends and family July 1st and while we know we will miss them all greatly we are very excited for this next chapter in our lives. 

Life will only get crazier from here on out for the next few months but we are just trying to take it one day at a time and enjoy the excitement of it all :) Any tips on moving (whether you're military or not) especially with two youngsters in the car will be greatly appreciated!! And of course because no post is complete without pictures of my cute kids here are my two favorite pictures from the last month! 

 Adam ran Bloomsday (a 12K) this year with a 60 pounds rucksack with a few buddies from work, so a few days before the race he decided to practice with Avery. I think they both had fun and I loved hearing Avery tell me all about it when he got back!

This little girl is just growing up way to fast, but I love her cute little personality. She is definitely a ham and will flirt with anyone and everyone. Her smile melts all of our hearts and I can't wait to see her pass more milestones!!
